Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of recovering a precious metal from a long-chain hydrocarbon, tar or an oil which can suppress occurrence of bubbles on a large scale, requiring that an antifoamer should be active at about 1,200°C and that the antifoamer should not disturb wet chemical regeneration usually following thermal regeneration.SOLUTION: A method of recovering a precious metal from a long-chain hydrocarbon, an oil or tar includes a heat treatment process carried out in the presence of an antifoamer containing 0.1 mass% or more ash.
