The method for recovering a serous fluid from latex includes using formic acid or acetic acid as the acid. In any of the methods for recovering a serous fluid from the latex, the coagulated latex is finely cut or pressed to squeeze out a serous fluid. The method for producing biomass ethanol includes recovering a serous fluid from any of the methods for recovering a serous fluid from the latex and subjecting the serous fluid as a raw material to alcohol fermentation to produce ethanol.
