Abstract:
To inexpensively and efficiently collect valuable elements, such as oxides of Co, Ni and Li from a collected material including Al2O3.SOLUTION: A method for collecting valuable elements comprises a mixing step of mixing a collected material from a secondary battery, a reducer and flux, and a reduction step of heating and reducing the mixture. The mixing step satisfies a desired formula between the content of oxygen combined with valuable elements included in the mixture and the content of the reducer included in the mixture; a concentration ratio x of SiO2 to Al2O3 included in the mixture and a concentration ratio y of CaO to Al2O3 satisfy a desired relationship; and the reduction step satisfies a desired relationship between a temperature of T[°C] and a period of time t of heating the mixture.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
