Abstract:

To provide a technique for efficiently recovering a large amount of various valuable metals from waste batteries by a dry process.

The method comprises separating and recovering the specific metal by charging and loading metal-containing objects etc., onto a moving bed moving inside a moving type hearth furnace, and heating and reducing the metal, in which the waste batteries are loaded on the moving bed, and in the heating process during the movement of the moving bed inside the furnace, the high volatile metal is made to evaporate, and the powder of the high volatile metal is recovered from the in-furnace gas generated at this time, and on the other hand, the metal relating to the low volatile metal is recovered on the moving bed.
