To provide a method for recovering valuable materials from a lithium-ion secondary battery, where the recovery rate for copper can be improved.SOLUTION: A method for recovering valuable materials from a lithium-ion secondary battery comprises a heating step for heating a lithium-ion secondary battery, a crushing step for crushing after the heating, and any one or more steps for sieving, magnetic sorting and gravity sorting after the crushing.
