Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable the recycle of steelmaking wet dust as raw material for blast furnace by efficiently and inexpensively vaporizing and removing zinc from the steelmaking wet dust.

CONSTITUTION: The steelmaking wet dust 12 is charged into a continuous type up-draft sintering machine and oxygen-containing gas is passed through from the lower part to the upper part and the steelmaking wet dust 12 is agglomerated by oxidation exothermicity. A dust collecting hood 1 is formed on a position where the surface layer temp. of steelmaking wet dust 12 in the continuous up-draft sintering machine is ≥100°C. While keeping the pressure in the dust collecting hood 1 equal as the pressure of the atmosphere, the exhaust gas is sucked into a dust collector 3 from the dust collecting hood 1 by using a blower 4 to collect the zinc dust.
