Title:
METHOD OF RECOVERING ZINC
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010138490
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a method of easily recovering a zinc compound suitable for a zinc-smelting material by generating a precipitate containing substantially no chlorine or sodium from a zinc chloride solution having high chlorine concentration.

The method of recovering zinc includes adding sodium carbonate to the zinc chloride solution having high chlorine concentration while regulating an aluminum concentration in the solution, and precipitating a basic zinc carbonate in the liquid having pH value of 6 or higher. Preferably, the method includes adding sodium carbonate to the zinc chloride solution of 60 g/L or higher in the chlorine concentration while regulating the aluminum concentration to be ≤200 mg/L in the solution, and precipitating the basic zinc carbonate in the liquid having pH value of 7 or higher.
