Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the subject method and equipment therefor easy to take for the on-site CFCs recovery, so designed that high-purity reclaimed CFCs can be obtained using a small-sized, relatively simple apparatuses and absorbent can also be easily recycled continuously and can be used repeatedly.
CONSTITUTION: The objective method made up of (A) purification process: recovered and liquefied CFCs is gasified under specified pressure and temperature, the vaporized CFCs is passed through an activated carbon filter 12 to remove the oil components and then passed through an adsorption column 15a packed with a water adsorbent to remove the moisture and then filtered off fine solid particles through a dust filter 18a followed by cooling and liquefying the CFCs gas to reclaim CFCs; and (B) an adsorbent regeneration process: air is passed through the adsorption column 15a packed with the moisture- trapped adsorbent while heating said adsorbent to effect desorption of the moisture adsorbed to regenerate the adsorbent. Two series of such adsorption columns 15a are alternately installed on the purification process and adsorbent regeneration process; while CFCs are being purified at one party of the adsorption columns 15a, the other party is regenerated, thus accomplishing CFCs purification continuously.
