Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recycling a crosslinked chloroprene rubber, which enables a mass treatment using an internal mixer and affords high- strength crosslinked chloroprene rubber when the reclaimed chloroprene rubber is crosslinked again.
SOLUTION: This method for recycling the crosslinked chloroprene rubber comprises incorporating rubber granules ≤3 mm in mean size consisting of a chloroprene rubber composition including the crosslinked chloroprene rubber with an unclosslinked chloroprene rubber in a quantity meeting the formula (1): y≥5x+5 (1≤x≤3) and the formula (2): y≥10 (x<1) (wherein, x is the mean size (mm) of the rubber granules, and y is the addition quantity (pts.wt.) of the uncrosslinked chloroprene rubber based on 100 pts.wt. of the rubber granules) and carrying out a kneading using an internal mixer.
