To provide a recycling method of a metal base composite material, by which the drastical improvement of recovering efficiency of respective raw materials used in the recycling time can be obtd. without bringing about the increase of cost.

The metal base composite material 1 is heated and fused in a vessel 2, and also, a water-soluble flux 3 is added into the molten material, and reinforcing material 4 contained in the metal base composite material 1 is shifted into the water-soluble flux 3 by positively stirring and mixing using a stirring machine 6. This mixture is made quiet and the water-soluble flux 3 containing the reinforcing material 4 is floated up and taken out and separated from a metal base material 5 and recovered. Successively, the water-soluble flux 3 containing the reinforcing material 4 is dissolved with water, and the reinforcing material 4 which is formed yet in solid state, is separated into solid and liquid to recover the reinforcing material 4. Further, the water solution of the water-soluble flux 3 is dried and the water-soluble flux 3 is recovered.
