This method for recycling polycarbonate resins comprises the following procedure: for a laminate 3 with the surface of a polycarbonate resin base material layer covered with a protective layer 2 of acrylic or melamine resin, at least the protective layer is exposed to an aqueous peeling solution 4 comprising a dibasic acid diester compound and water to swell the acrylic or melamine resin constituting the protective layer followed by peeling the protective layer off the surface of the base material layer.
