To provide a method for recycling a waste aluminum product, by which a high specific gravity, high purity reusable raw material can be obtained while omitting a granulation step.
An aluminum can scrap 10 in which many used aluminum cans are lightly pressed is released by applying impact with a release machine to be separated into a discrete aluminum can 11 (P1). The aluminum can in a separated state is subjected to foreign matter removing by hand separation and a magnetic separator (P2). The resulting aluminum can is dry-distilled in a firing temperature range of 400-500°C under a reducing atmosphere in a heating furnace to remove a surfacing compound and coating by thermal decomposition (P3). The fired aluminum can is crushed/cut into about 15 mm in width (P4), which is compressed and solidified by a predetermined amount and molded into an aluminum briquette 13 (P5). The aluminum briquette is cut into a cut piece 14 having a size demanded depending on recycling applications, such as an auxiliary material for steel manufacture (P6).
