Abstract:
PURPOSE:To efficiently reduce the amt. of NOX in product gas contg. carbon black produced in a furnace carbon black reaction furnace by holding the gas at >=700 deg.C for 0.5-2sec in a part behind the rapid cooling part of the furnace. CONSTITUTION:Product gas contg. carbon black produced in a furnace carbon black reaction furnace 22 by feeding oil 20 as starting material is cooled with cooling water 23 in the second halt of the reaction chamber. The gas is then held at a high temp. of >=700 deg.C for 0.5-2 sec during passing through a roundabout flue 30 and reaches an air preheater 33. In order to considerably reduce the amt. of NOX in the gas, water-cooled dampers 31, 32 are attached to the flue 30.
