Title:
METHOD FOR REDUCING AMOUNT OF PRODUCTION OF NITROGEN OXIDE PRODUCED DURING COMBUSTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05340505
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To minimize the formation of NO2 while improving productivity by performing oxy-fuel combustion of an oxy-fuel mixture from nitrogen and keeping a concentrated fuel condition.

CONSTITUTION: An oxy-fuel flame or combustion is produced using an oxy-fuel burner by introducing oxygen into mounting parts 46 at a front end 44 of the burner 36 and by introducing combustion, for example natural gas into mounting parts 48. The oxy-fuel burner is operated in a thick fuel state. More specifically, when a ratio of oxygen to the fuel is divided to a ratio of oxygen and an oxy- fuel flame as if the operation is performed under stoichiometric conditions, they are assumed to be 1.2 to 1.5 preferably about 1.33. As a result, the production of NO2 is restricted to a minimum while improving productivity.
