Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a large amount of useful organic compounds, including methanol and formaldehyde, from steam and carbon dioxide by using raw materials more inexpensive than those of conventional proposals, so as to utilize carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and carbon dioxide in combustion exhaust gas as resources.SOLUTION: A formation in which an integrated body (A) consisting of titanium dioxide and {zirconium oxide or zinc oxide}, scattered on an electroconductive material, is arranged in a mixed gas comprising steam and carbon dioxide, and the integrated body (A) is irradiated with UV light.
