Abstract:

To evade the phase separation and hydrogenation between a hydrogenation reactor and an after-treatment reactor when producing a low-sulfur distillate fuel containing a small amount of a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon, and as a result, improving the specific gravity and the cetane number characteristics.

This method for reducing the content of the sulfur compound and the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon comprises cooling the outflow discharged from the hydrogenation reactor, and passing the cooled product through a small after-treatment reactor including a proper catalyst.
