Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the transient thermal stress of a turbine rotor by causing a portion of exhaust gas from the outlet port of a diffuser to flow into a recess provided in the axial center of the discharge section of the turbine rotor. CONSTITUTION:A recess 4 is provided in the axial part of the discharge section of a turbine rotor 2. Some of the exhaust gas from the outlet port of a diffuser 9 is introduced into the recess 4 of the turbine rotor 2 through a duct 10 so that compressive stress is simultaneously caused in the inner and outer parts of the turbine rotor 2 and tensile stress is caused between them. For that reason, the tensile stress is very low. According to this constitution, the thermal stress generated transiently in the inner periphery part of the turbine rotor 2 just after the start of a gas turbine is reduced.
