To reduce the vibration and noise of a rotary electric machine, by containing a rotor, a stator which is provided coaxially with the rotor, and a casing, and by coupling the stator with the main body of the machine at many different coupling points.
A resultant force contributing to tangential vector component bears the static stress of a rotary electric machine, and the contribution of tangential rigidity Kt to each coupling point of a casing 3 with a stator 2 is calculated so that the axial or radial moving amount of the stator 2 may become a prescribed value or smaller. Then, the contribution of radial rigidity Kr is calculated on each coupling point 4, so that a resultant force contributing to radial component may release the dynamic stress of the stator 2 with a prescribed coefficient about the conduction to the casing 3. On each coupling point 4, elements 5 which couple the stator 2 with the casing 3 and have different-direction rigidity are manufactured. In the next stage, the stator 2 is attached to the inside of the casing 3 and hung from the coupling points 4 of the casing by means of the coupling elements 5.
