Abstract:
To provide a method of reducing the volume of fuel oil ash and making it harmless which enables remarkable reduction of the quantity to be disposed of by reclamation and eliminates the possibility of elution of heavy metals after the ash is subjected to volume reduction and made harmless, by subjecting the ash to the volume reduction and slagging it effectively.
The fuel oil ash 3 collected by a dust collector 2 is supplied to a combusting-melting furnace 5 and combusted and melted at a temperature of 850-1450°C to be slagged.
