To continuously pull up a refined block having high purity from molten raw material.
The surface level F of the molten raw material M held in a refining vessel 10 is kept to a fixed height and the molten metal temp. T1 is held to the interval from the crystallized temp. of α-Al to the eutectic temp. of Al-Si and the atmospheric temp. T2 is held to the interval from (the primary crystal crystallized temp.-90°C) to (the primary crystal crystallized temp.-10°C). A rotary cooling body 20 dipped into the molten raw material M is rotated at 0.5-5 m/sec as the rotating speed at the outer periphery of the bottom surface and the refined block R crystallized on the bottom surface of the rotary cooling body 20 is continuously pulled up. The pulled up refined block R is cooled with cold air injected from an auxiliary cooling pipe 31 and formed as a column- state with a shaping control bar 35.
