Title:
METHOD OF REFINNING AIR BY ALLOWING CARBON DIOXIDE AND WATER IMPURITY TO BE ADSORBED ON SINTERED ALUMINA
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH11235513
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a process for adsorbing both CO2 and water vapor existing in an atmospheric air stream for obtaining dried and decarbonized air.

In a method for refining the air stream containing CO2 and water vapor, where at least some quantities of the CO2 and water vapor impurities are removed by allowing the impurities to be adsorbed on at least one kind of the sintered alumina containing at most 10 wt.% at least one kind alkali metal oxide or alkaline earth metal oxide the adsorption is performed at -10-80°C.
