To propose a method of reforming an exhaust gas generated from an arc furnace, capable of simultaneously achieving both carburetion of the exhaust gas generated from the arc furnace and emission reduction of carbon dioxide, as well as a reforming device and a method of advantageously manufacturing a carbureted gas from such exhaust gas generated from the arc furnace.
The method of reforming an exhaust gas generated from an arc furnace includes the steps of: directing the exhaust gas generated from an arc furnace to a combustion chamber of an exhaust gas recovery equipment for combustion; and adding a reducing agent to hot combustion exhaust gas ejected from the combustion chamber to conduct a reforming reaction between carbon dioxide included in the combustion exhaust gas and a reducing agent. The method is thus effective for the carburetion of the gas and reduction of a generated amount of carbon dioxide. The reforming device and the method of manufacturing the reformed carbureted gas are also provided.
