Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for regenerating an anion exchange resin, in which the equipment or energy to be used for warming a caustic soda aqueous solution is made unnecessary when the anion exchange resin is regenerated by using the warm caustic soda aqueous solution, and to provide a water treatment apparatus.SOLUTION: The method for regenerating the anion exchange resin comprises the steps of: dissolving solid caustic soda in water and, by utilizing heat of dissolution to prepare the warm caustic soda aqueous solution; and regenerating the anion exchange resin by using the prepared warm caustic soda aqueous solution. In such a factory that there is no boiler facility near the equipment such as pure water production equipment having an anion exchange resin tower and it is difficult to introduce a warming facility such as a steam boiler, the anion exchange resin can be regenerated by using the warm caustic soda aqueous solution warmed to predetermined temperature without introducing the warming facility newly. Silica can be prevented from being accumulated on the anion exchange resin.
