PURPOSE: To obtain an image removing solution containing water for regenerating copying paper or printing paper by cleaning general PPC copying images, etc., by specifying a liquid permeation speed of the liquid (the removing solution) containing water to the supporting body for holding images such as paper.
CONSTITUTION: At least a part of the supporting body for holding images is constituted of chartaceous layers consisting essentially of cellulose fibers and hydrophobic images composed of heat movable ink (toner) are formed on the chartaceous layer. The liquid permeation speed of the image removing solution containing water held to the supporting body for holding images used for the image regenerating method is ≥12ml/m2 when contacting time with the supporting body is 0.4sec. When the supporting body holding hydrophobic images is impregnated with the removing solution containing water, the liquid permeates the cellulose fibers and voids therebetween and spacing parts by a capillary phenomenon and an adhesive force between the toner image and the cellulose fiber is reduced. When the cellulose fibers absorb the removing solution, the cellulose fibers are deformed and the contacting area with the toner image is decreased to reduce the adhesive force therebetween.
