To solve the problems, e.g., that, regarding the method for peeling a coating material from a magnesium alloy member, a wet blasting process is used, but, in the case a rust prevention material and the coating material are left at the parts such as the wall corners on the sides of an enclosure, the insides of wrinkles, and projection and recessed parts, at the time when the enclosure with the rust prevention material and coating material left is heated in a melting furnace, gas is generated, and further, at the time of peeling the coating, the magnesium alloy member on the surface of the enclosure is ground together with the coating material, and its volume is reduced.
The method for regenerating the magnesium alloy material for recycling comprises: a peeling stage where a coating material applied to the magnesium alloy material to be regenerated is peeled with an alkali solution comprising at least one of monoethanolamine and diethylene glycol monoethyl ether; a molten metal preparing stage where the magnesium alloy material from which the coating material has been peeled is melted; an inspecting stage where a part of the molten metal is collected, and at least the content of an iron component is measured; and a component regulating stage where, as a result of the inspecting stage, in the case the content of the iron component exceeds a prescribed value, an iron component reducing substance is added.
