Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mable-compounded product similar to a product with the use of new natural aggregate by a method in which nonconforming or disused marblelike synthetic resin articles are crushed into aggregate of a specified particle size, the aggregate, after its surface being colored, is mixed with a curable synthetic resin, and the mixture is cast into a mold.
SOLUTION: Nonconforming or used marble-compounded synthetic resin articles are crushed into aggregate of a specified particle size with a hammer mill. For example, the aggregate is sieved into fine aggregate of 0.1-0.6mm particle size and coarse aggregate of 0.6-1.0mm particle size. The fine aggregate colored by a method in which a black inorganic iron oxide pigment is mixed into a water soluble acrylic emulsion resin, while the coarse aggregate is colored by mixing a white inorganic titanium oxide pigment into a water soluble acrylic emulsion resin. After that, for example, the mixture in which 6wt.% of a two- component curable epoxy resin is mixed into 73wt.% of the coarse aggregate and 21wt.% of the fine aggregate is cast into a mold and cured. In this way, a washing stand of a marble-compounded synthetic resin in which a while base material is spotted with the black aggregate is obtained.
