To efficiently use various aluminum recovery materials with different aluminum purity and impurity compositions to regeneration of a support for a printing plate in accordance with the material properties and recoveries thereof without the need of a continuous refining stage.
The aluminum recovery material is classified into a plurality of groups by compositions having different aluminum purity and trace metal contents, and the aluminum recovery materials are charged into recovery material melting furnaces 15, 17, 19 respectively exclusive for each group, and are heated and melted. The obtained aluminum molten metals A, B, C are formed into prescribed shapes and weights to obtain aluminum alloy regenerated metals 31A, 31B, 31C. Then, the respective aluminum alloy regenerated metals are heated and melted by a regenerated metal melting furnace at a blending ratio to be desired aluminum purity and desired trace metal contents to produce a strip-like aluminum substrate by casting and rolling stages. The aluminum substrate is supplied to a process for producing the support for the printing plate.
