To provide a method for the regenerative treatment of a carbon fiber, by which the reutilizable carbon fiber keeping the length and shape of the carbon fiber before the treatment can be recovered from a carbon fiber-reinforced resin and can be regenerated.
The method 1 for the regenerative treatment comprises a carbon composite material-conveying step S1 of conveying the carbon composite material by putting the carbon composite material on a mesh belt at a prescribed conveyance speed, a preheating step S2 of preliminarily heating the conveyed carbon composite material, a remaining gas-recovering step S3 of recovering the remaining gas components generated at a preheating zone, a remaining gas-burning step S4 of re-burning the recovered remaining gas components, a heating and removing step S5 of keeping the temperature of the carbon composite material reaching a heating temperature at the heating temperature, and for removing the matrix components, and a cooling step S6 of cooling the regenerated carbon fiber from which the matrix components are removed by heating.
