To provide a method for regulating the curing initiation time or curing time of a fluorosilicone compsn. curable with platinum group metal by regulating the ratio of an alkylhydrogensiloxane to a dialkylhydrogenperfluoroethyl-siloxane in a crosslinking agent added to a curable fluorosilicone compsn.
A crosslinking mixture comprising an alkylhydrogensiloxane (A) with a dialkylhydrogenperfluoroalkylethylsiloxane (B) is added to a curable fluorosilicone compsn. comprising a platinum group metal. In this case, the component (A) to component (B) wt. ratio is regulated to (0.1:1) to (9:1), enabling the curing initiation time and the curing time of the compsn. to be regulated and a cured product to be accurately and rapidly molded. The curable fluorosilicone compsn. comprises: 100 pts.wt. fluorine-contg. polydiorganopolysiloxane comprising repeating units of R1RSiO and optional R'R2SiO (wherein R' represents a 1-4C alkyl; R2 represents a 2-10C alkenyl; and R represents a 3-12C perfluoroalkenyl); 10 to 70 pts.wt. reinforcing silica; and effective amts. of a platinum group metal catalyst and the regulated components (A) and (B).
