Abstract:
To provide a method for reinforcing a light alloy wheel at a low cost.
In the light alloy wheel, a groove 14a linearly elongating to the radial direction of the wheel is formed on the back face (the face on the vehicle side) in a cross-link part 14 formed between troughs in a disk part. The regions 31 on both the sides of the groove 14a are modified, so as to be reinforced. Namely, a rotary tool 80 is applied to the back face of the cross-link part 14 while being rotated, and is moved along the groove 14a.
