Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the handling of a work in remelting treatment and to evade the increase of material cost.
SOLUTION: In a remelting treating method, the surface of a work made of aluminum is irraidated with an arc which is high density heat energy to remelt the surface, and by the succeeding rapid solidification, its thermal cracking resistance is increased, the starting position and finishing position of the irradiation of the arc are superposed and are set to a position P1 beside a remelting treating region R, and also, the irradiation energy amt. of the arc is gradually reduced from this side of the position P1 which is the finishing position of the irradiation of the arc.
