To provide a method of remodeling a two/multi-stage parking apparatus, which contributes to drastic reduction of labor and costs necessary for remodeling work for changing an existing two/multi-stage parking apparatus into the two/multi-stage parking apparatus of the other type.
The method is provided for remodeling the existing two/multi-step parking apparatus which is formed of an upper step pallet 5 and a lower step pallet 7 that are vertically driven, and allow a vehicle 3 to ride on the same from a vehicle road 1 or to ride out of the same to the vehicle road 1 when they are located at a vehicle entering/leaving height H1. Further the parking apparatus houses the vehicle in a pit 9 when the lower pallet 7 on which the vehicle 3 is loaded is lifted down into the pit 9. According to the method, in place of the vehicle entering/leaving height H1, a new vehicle entering/leaving height H2 higher than the vehicle entering/leaving height H1 is set, and a step eliminating section 19 for bridging a step between the vehicle road 1 and the new vehicle entering/leaving height H2 is formed.
