Title:
METHOD FOR REMOVING BIRDS AND DEVICE USED THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01165330
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent birds from coming flying to buildings, by providing fine wire groups in a space slightly separated from outer ends (e.g., handrail or rooftop) of a building where domestic pigeons or gray starlings initially come flying and perch.

CONSTITUTION: This device (S) is installed on a parapet (11b) of the rooftop (11a) of a building 11. The device (S) of this invention is formed by oppositely providing supporting parts 21 consisting of a body part (21a) assuming a triangular form and protruding part (21b). Hooks 24 are engaged and mounted in holes (21c) in the respective supporting parts 21 and fine wires 22 are stretched between the hooks 24 through springs 23. The fine wires 22 can be removed by pulling the springs 23. Domestic pigeons or gray starlings try to come flying on the building and initially approach the end (E) of the parapet (11b), however, can neither fly due to feathers caught by the fine wires 22 nor perch on the fine wires, resulting in flying away.
