PURPOSE: To enhance separation accuracy or separation efficiency, by respectively applying electrostatic separation treatment to fine slack coals by low voltage corona discharge to separate high grade slack coals low in ash content and mixing all lots of them.
CONSTITUTION: Secondary electrostatic treatment is applied to low grade slack coal supplied to a third electric separator 7 from a first electric separator 3 by low voltage corona discharge of about 2W3KV to separate high grade slack coal which is, in turn, met with and supplied to a duct 5 through a duct 10. The high grade slack coal sent from a duct 5 is collected and recovered by a bag filter 11 to be taken out from a feed-out line 12 as purified slack coal while the low grade slack coal sent out by a waste feed line 9 is fed to a ash waste treatment system where discarding treatment or regeneration treatment to other use is applied.
