Title:
METHOD OF REMOVING DRIVER BIT FROM SCREWDRIVER, AND STOP RING WITH DRIVER BIT REMOVING FUNCTION SUITABLE FOR PERFORMING THIS METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3284023
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make an operator dispensable with any trouble to carry around a tool such as a plier or the like separately in order to extract a driver bit of a screwdriver, and further to prevent a removed adjust sleeve from being missing.
CONSTITUTION: A stop ring 10 is equipped with a dust discharging oval type opening of width being wider than the diagonal plane length and narrower than the diagonal length of a regular hexagonal sectional driver bit 20. After an adjust sleeve 5 is removed from a screw driver body, a parallel part of the oval opening of the stop ring 10 is adjusted to a positional relationship in parallel with the diagonal plane of the driver bit 20, inserting the stop ring 10 up to the part of a peripheral groove 21. Then, a relative angle between the adjust sleeve 5 and the driver bit 20 is varied to some extent and thereby an opposite angle of the driver bit 20 is made so as to be hitched on and edge of the oval opening, whereby if the stop ring 10 is pulled together with the adjust sleeve 5, a steel ball 23 is pushed back and thus the driver bit 20 is extractable.
