Abstract:

To provide a method for removing ether compounds from a crude hydrocarbon, and to provide a method for producing a purified hydrocarbon by the method.

There is provided the method for removing ether compounds from the crude hydrocarbon, comprising bringing the crude hydrocarbon containing the ether compounds as impurities into contact with an adsorption column, characterized in that the adsorption column has an upstream side layer and a downstream side layer; the upstream side layer is a layer formed of a hybrid type adsorbent comprising a mixture of activated alumina with zeolite; and the downstream side layer is a layer formed from a zeolite-based adsorbent.
