Abstract:

To provide a tea product enabling a consumer to drink without anxiety, and promoting tea production, sales and its utilization for industrial materials by solving problems regarding sanitary matters, appearance or consumer's images respectively resulted from foreign substances through removing minute foreign substances adhering to tea leaves, and to provide raw material fresh tea leaves for tea processed food.

The objective method for removing foreign substances from tea comprises the following steps: an aqueous cleaning process B21 where raw material tea leaves are subjected to aqueous cleaning in order to remove minute foreign substances such as ticks and fungus from raw material tea leaves, a drying process B23 where the fresh raw material tea leaves cleaned with water. Through such a water-cleaning treatment, minute foreign substances can be surely removed, and odd smell resulted from the substances can be eliminated, and further soaking the raw material tea leaves in water results in enabling the flavor thereof to be simultaneously regulated.
