Title:
METHOD OF REMOVING HYDROGEN SULFIDE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02237620
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To change sulfur solids to a soluble sulfur compound by allowing a fluid stream incorporating hydrogen sulfide to be brought into contact with an aqueous solution incorporating multivalent metal chelate.

CONSTITUTION: A turbine 4 exhausts to a condenser 10 through a pipe line 8. Cooling water incorporating chelated iron and bisulfites is atomized to the condenser 10 from a pipe line 28 for condensation and passes through a pipe line 14 from the condenser 10 and flows to a water tank. Noncondensing gas such as CO2, H2, and a portion of H2S are taken out from a main condenser 10 through a pipe line 36. After a start of an operation, the multivalent metal chelate only in an enough quantity is added to a cool water tank 66 through a pipe line 56, and the quantity lost by continuous blow-down through a pipe line 76 is replenished. The aqueous liquid in the cool water tank is taken out through a pipe line 63, reaches a pump 60, being fed to a static mixer 50 through a pipe line 58.
