PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently remove an impurity element from a Pt-containing solution containing at least one of Se, Bi and Pb as the impurity element, and to efficiently recover Pt therefrom.SOLUTION: A method for removing an impurity element from a Pt-containing solution containing at least one of Se, Bi and Pb as the impurity element, includes: a first step of bringing a chelate resin containing thiourea as a functional group into contact with the Pt-containing solution to adsorb at least Pt on the chelate resin; a second step of washing the chelate resin after the adsorption to remove the impurity element; and a third step of eluting Pt from the chelate resin after the washing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
