Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce noise as much as possible without obscuring the variation in the amount of an object itself.
CONSTITUTION: A polynomial fitting method is employed (step S8, S9) when a value σ2/r, obtained by dividing the variance σ2 of measurements taken during a predetermined section by the mean value (r) of the measurements, exceeds a predetermined threshold value otherwise a simple moving average method exhibiting higher noise reduction effect is employed (step S4, S7).
