Abstract:
To achieve an oxidized scale removal method that can improve the production efficiency of a stainless steel strip.SOLUTION: The method includes a laser beam irradiation step in which an oxidized scale-formed surface of an annealed stainless steel strip (1) is irradiated with a laser beam of a pulse laser in which a fluence F[J/cm2] in pulse width τ[ns] is α×(τ[ns]/100)1/2[J/cm2] or more and β×(τ[ns]/100)1/2[J/cm2] or less (where, α=1, β=15).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
