Abstract:

To save labor in on-site construction, in an air conditioning device in which a refrigerant circuit is constituted by connecting a heat source unit and a use unit through a refrigerant communication pipe in on-site construction.

In this method of removing residual components of the air conditioning device, a charge and vent operation and/or purge operation is performed. The charge and vent operation is an operation for introducing an inactive refrigerant of low GWP used as a working medium to perform the refrigerating cycle in the refrigerant circuit 10 to the refrigerant communication pipes 6, 7, and releasing the same with a residual gas after the lapse of a prescribed retaining time. The purge operation is an operation for introducing the inactive refrigerant of low GWP used as the working refrigerant to perform the refrigerating cycle in the refrigerant circuit 10 from one end of the refrigerant communication pipes 6, 7, while releasing the residual gas from the other end of the refrigerant communication pipes 6, 7.
