Abstract:
PURPOSE: To rapidly and completely remove a heaped scale safely to human body by allowing the scale deposited from an acidic solution such as a pickling liquid of a metal to contact with an aq. solution containing alkali bicarbonate.
CONSTITUTION: The heaped scale deposited from the pickling liquid of the metal, a metal plating solution or the acidic solution discharged therefrom is brought into contact with a mixture of one kind or two or more kinds of alkali bicarbonates. Ammonium bicarbonate is preferably used as alkali bicarbonate. The aq. solution preferably contains about 10% alkali bicarbonate and is preferably used at about ≤60°C, particularly 20-40°C. As a result, the scale is removed by efficiently destroying the scale with the chemicals safe to human body.
