Abstract:

To provide a method for adsorbing and removing selenium being a harmful substance contained in wastewater by using a nickel-zinc basic double salt being an anionic exchange powder material to clean the wastewater.

The nickel-zinc basic double salt [compositional formula: Ni1-xZn2x(OCOCH3)2x(OH)2.nH2O], which comprises a formed solid obtained by hydrolyzing a mixed acetic acid solution of nickel and zinc under a hydrothermal condition, is used as an adsorbing material of selenium contained in the wastewater to clean the wastewater.
