Abstract:

PURPOSE: To remove efficiently substabnces with high boiling points from coarse COG by contacting a group of low temperature carriers with coarse cake oven gas, sticking the substances with high boiling points such as tar to the surface of the carriers, and condensing the substances.

CONSTITUTION: An inlet 1 for a group 2 of low temperature carriers is installed in the riser part of a cake oven, and the group 2 is supplied. The group 2 is contacted with coarse COG 4 in a conduit part 3 so that impurities such as tar are stuck to the carriers. The carriers with the adherent impurities such as tar are recovered from a recovery port 5. After the recovery, the adherent tar on the surface of the carrieres is removed by an oscillating sieve 6, and the carriers, after being cooled, are supplied again to the inlet 1. Besides, the coarse COG 7 after being contacted the group 2 is supplied to a heat exchanger 8 to recover the existing sensible heat.
