At the time of again starting pouring after stopping the pouring of molten metal into a mold, etc., by shifting a sliding plate 3 fitted between an upper fixed plate 2 and a lower fixed plate 4 to close the sliding gate, the remained molten metal (e.g. remained steel) in a pouring hole 11 of the sliding plate is discharged through another one of hole (remained steel discharging hole 7) arranged in the lower fixed plate separately from the pouring hole 10 of the lower fixed plate. Thereafter, the sliding plate is shifted to open the sliding gate and the pouring of the molten metal is started.
