PURPOSE: To perform stable repair without degrading adhesiveness and corrosion resistance by forming a surface covering layer through applying ultrasonic vibrations to the metallic wire material and weld zone in a molten state.
CONSTITUTION: A weld zone 21 is locally heated around the cut (bead-cut) area thereof by a burner 22. This heating is accomplished up to the temp. at which a zinc wire material 23 melts. Thence, the material 23 of a wire shape conducted by a conduit 24 is supplied to the bead cut part of the weld zone 21, thereby the material 23 is melted. Simultaneously with this melting, or before it solidifies, vibrations are emitted from the tip of an ultrasonic vibrator 25, thereby giving ultrasonic vibrations to the molten wire material 23 and forming a surface covering layer 23' on the weld zone 21.
