Abstract:
PURPOSE: To entirely obviate the need of gauging, reduce the labor of a worker and repair a damaged part with a high precision.
CONSTITUTION: An overlay 40 is formed on the damaged part of a mandrel 18 by a build-up welding. Then, after the external size is shaped on the overlay part 40 by machining, a port is set in a diesinking electric discharge machine to position the mandrel 18 and an electrode plate 42, and an electric discharge machining is performed on the external shape of the mandrel 18 with this electrode plate 42. After the machining, the overlay part 40 !is again processed by a wire cut electric discharge machine, and the repair of the damaged part is completed by making it the same shape before the damage.
