PURPOSE: To obtain repaired plating having fine appearance, superior adhesive strength and corrosion resistance without heating a bead cut part by combining the welding of a metallic wire for plating which can be melted by the residual heat of the bead cut part with spraying to repair plating.
CONSTITUTION: The weld bead of an electric welded plated steel pipe 1 is removed with a bead cutter 2. An Sn-Zn alloy wire 9 which can be melted by the residual heat of the bead cut part is welded to the weld bead part, and the Sn- Zn alloy is spread uniformly and thinly on the whole surface of the bead cut part with ultrasonic waves 6. The same metal for plating as the plated steel pipe 1 has is then sprayed from an arc sprayer 10, and the sprayed surface is pressed with a pressing roll 11 to flatten the sprayed particles. Finally, buffing is carried out with a buffing device.
