Abstract:

To provide a method for repairing the selvage of a mat by which deterioration in working environment is prevented by dispensing with polishing with a sandpaper and using of gum arabic, appearance of a mark of repair is improved, and a time for repair work is shortened.

The method is provided for repairing a tear 1 having no deficient part made at the selvage 2 of the mat in which base material is bonded to the rear surface of a mat original fabric, the peripheral part of the mat base material projects from the periphery of the mat original fabric to constitute the selvage 2. This method comprises: a first step for applying an adhesive to at least one of the cross sections 11 and 12 of the tear 1; and a second step for fitting both of the cross sections 11 and 12 of the tear 1.
